Life in Balance

When I was diagnosed with cancer 6 years ago, a dear friend gave me a simple, but meaningful necklace with the Hebrew word Chai (life). I held that necklace between my fingers everyday of my recovery. And since then, I have also worked hard to attain a new balance in my life. Though I may have lost the ability to do and enjoy certain things, my eyes and mind opened up to many new experiences and joys. What was lost is replaced with something else. Chai and Yin Yang. Life in Balance. Materials used include ceramic and porcelain tile, glass, millefiori, applied to wedi board with thinset.
