Susan and I agreed we would like the challenge of creating abstract mosaics for this project. I started this piece with no set style in mind, but it took on a Southwest or Native American feel as I worked. I used stones, slate and glass marbles set in black thin set, and Susan continued with like materials and created a wonderful balance to the original half. I call this piece Hozho, a Navajo word meaning balance, peace, beauty and harmony.
